Tiina Horn is a fiction writer who believes the most compelling of stories always start with the most unlikely of people. She is a voracious reader of suspense novels and enjoys writing stories with strong female characters at their core. She is currently working on her first novel and has her sights firmly set on fulfilling her long-term goal of becoming a published author.

As a member of the Queensland Writers Centre, she is committed to the continuous development of her craft. She joined the Cairns Tropical Writers Festival committee in mid 2022 as their appointed treasurer, and is actively involved in the organization of the 2023 festival.

Tiina grew up in the remote farming town of Tully, Far North Queensland (also known as the wettest place in Australia!), before moving to Cairns to study a Bachelor of Education at James Cook University. After teaching short term, she joined forces with her husband as a restaurateur in their own business. She has three children, a loyal cavoodle named Bruno and lives with her family, perched on the fringe of the tropical rainforest.
